Who We Are
Africahackon is a Cyber Security collective dedicated to fostering excellence through research, capacity building, and development of a strong community of experts in Africa.
Africahackon is dedicated to promoting excellence in the field of cyber security in Africa. We believe that by fostering research, capacity building, and the development of a strong community of experts, we can help to improve the overall security of the continent.
We work to achieve this goal by providing a platform for researchers and experts to share their knowledge and collaborate on projects, as well as by organizing events and workshops to help educate and train the next generation of cybersecurity professionals in Africa. In addition to these efforts, Africahackon drives impact by helping to build the overall skillset and talent of Africa’s cyber security ecosystem.
We collaborate with governments, private sector organizations, training institutions, and other stakeholders to help identify and address key challenges and opportunities in the field. By working together in this way, Africahackon is helping to pave way for a more secure and prosperous future for the continent.

Cyber Defence Club
The Human Firewall Project, on the other hand, targeted local universities and colleges with specific focus on cybersecurity. We have conducted workshops, trainings, and delivered talks in various universities and colleges in Kenya.
Lastly, through the launch of our Capture The Flag (CTF) platform, ctfroom.com, previously set up at tf.cyberspace.co.ke, we have managed to hold a number of CTF competitions with both local and international participants.
We acknowledge that CTF competitions play an important role towards promoting hands-on cybersecurity skills for both newbies, intermediate ethical hackers and professionals.
As such, we have brought together some of the most prolific challenge creators in Kenya, as well as abroad, with emphasis on providing real-life cybersecurity challenges.
