Africahackon is a collaborative community dedicated to advancing cybersecurity knowledge, promoting ethical technology practices, and fostering innovation across the African technology landscape. 1. Ethical Conduct
- We uphold the highest standards of ethical behavior in cybersecurity and technology.
- All activities must comply with Kenyan, regional, and international laws.
- Unauthorized access, data theft, manipulation, or malicious hacking is strictly prohibited.
2. Respect and Integrity
- All members must treat each other with respect.
- Communication must remain constructive, professional, and inclusive.
3. Responsible Disclosure
- Vulnerabilities must be reported responsibly to: academy@africahackon.com or academy.support@africahackon.com
- Exploitation or premature publication of vulnerabilities is prohibited.
- Misuse may result in permanent removal and legal action.
4. Knowledge Sharing & Intellectual Property
- Knowledge sharing is encouraged but must respect confidentiality.
- All learning materials and tools remain the IP of Africahackon and/or their authors.
- Unauthorized reproduction or distribution violates the Copyright Act (2001).
5. Professional Development
- Members are encouraged to pursue continuous learning and uphold industry best practices.
- Illegal hacking or cyberattacks
- Unauthorized access to systems
- Malware creation or distribution
- Harassment, discrimination, or misconduct
- Misuse of Africahackon’s brand or resources
- Violation of confidentiality or intellectual property rights
Membership & Programme Participation Policies
1. Payment Compliance (Flexible Structures)
Africahackon offers different payment structures…- Participants must adhere to the agreed payment schedule.
- Africahackon may remove a participant for non-payment…
- Participants cannot graduate or receive certificates with outstanding balances.
- Access to classes/platforms may be restricted until the balance is cleared.
2. Misconduct
- Violates the Code of Conduct
- Disrupts learning
- Poses risk to others or the programme
3. Performance, Attendance & Engagement
- Poor performance
- Lack of participation
- Insufficient assignment submission
- Low attendance
4. Academic Integrity
Plagiarism, cheating, or misuse of resources is prohibited.5. Medical or Special Consideration

Exam Eligibility
- 80% minimum attendance
- Submit all mandatory assignments
- Participate in group projects
- Clear all financial obligations
Graduation Requirements
- All coursework completed
- Pass final exam
- Capstone project (if applicable)
- No pending disciplinary issues
- All fees cleared
Refund & Cancellation Policy (More Stringent)
Payment Terms
- Payment structures vary and are communicated in writing.
- Payment deadlines are binding once agreed.
Cancellation by Participant
- More than 2 weeks before start: 50% refund unless documented reason.
- 1–2 weeks before: No refund unless documented emergency.
- Within 7 days or after start: No refunds.
